TRIPS has launched unique wave shape Road Disc series rims. As the name suggests, such carbon road rims are with varying depth.The rim height is slightly up and down like wave on the sea.The overall depth alternates between 22mm to 25mm, rims profile fluctuates up and down by 3 mm, allowing cyclists to achieve better aero performance and crosswind stability. You can ride more steadily and safely in the wind.

At present, our undulating mtb carbon rim is only available in 29er and conventional 28 spoke holes, designed for XC riding use. The rim is specific reinforced to each spoke hole drilling in the deeper area to increase rim strength and stiffness as well.

The 30mm inner width is optimised for wider 29*2.25''-2.5'' tire. The rim is with hookless design and is tubeless ready. Tubeless tires can make a good performance at lower tire pressure for reduced rolling resistance and contribute to all out speed.

Asymmetric design helps to make wheelset with more even spoke tension between drive side and non-drive side. On the one hand, it makes wheelset stiffer since the spoke tension on non-drive side can be higher (than regular carbon wheels built with symmetric rims). On the other hand, the closer spoke tension between two sides make the wheelset more difficult to get loose after long time of use, which means less maintenance is needed.

Thus, our MTB carbon rims are light weight, but still strong and durable.

Our goal was to produce the lightest possible rim without sacrificing performance. Drawing on our engineers' years of experience and countless revisions in each step of the manufacturing process,we are able to produce a strong and stiff carbon road bike rims while dramatically reducing the weight.
To further reduce the weight we used a blend of Toray T700 and T800 specific layups.
