CARBON RIMS

TRIPS has launched unique wave shape Road Disc series rims. As the name suggests, such carbon road rims are with varying depth.The rim height is slightly up and down like wave on the sea.The overall depth alternates between 22mm to 25mm, rims profile fluctuates up and down by 3 mm, allowing cyclists to achieve better aero performance and crosswind stability. You can ride more steadily and safely in the wind.

At present, our undulating mtb carbon rim is only available in 29er and conventional 28 spoke holes, designed for XC riding use. The rim is specific reinforced to each spoke hole drilling in the deeper area to increase rim strength and stiffness as well.

The 30mm inner width is optimised for wider 29*2.25''-2.5'' tire. The rim is with hookless design and is tubeless ready. Tubeless tires can make a good performance at lower tire pressure for reduced rolling resistance and contribute to all out speed.

Asymmetric design helps to make wheelset with more even spoke tension between drive side and non-drive side. On the one hand, it makes wheelset stiffer since the spoke tension on non-drive side can be higher (than regular carbon wheels built with symmetric rims). On the other hand, the closer spoke tension between two sides make the wheelset more difficult to get loose after long time of use, which means less maintenance is needed.

Thus, our MTB carbon rims are light weight, but still strong and durable.

these 55mm depth carbon rims are made from Premium Toray T700+T800 carbon fiber, plus stable resin system, which is the basis for light weight.
In addition, we optimize the lay-up design, eliminate excessive materials to save weight, and add extra materials around spoke hole area for reinforcement.
Thus, our carbon road rims are light weight, but still strong and stiff.
The design have sufficient aerodynamic performance without being affected too much by side wind resistance, reduces aero drag, is more laterally stiff, and has 30% greater impact resistance.

Our goal was to produce the lightest possible rim without sacrificing performance. Drawing on our engineers' years of experience and countless revisions in each step of the manufacturing process,we are able to produce a strong and stiff carbon road bike rims while dramatically reducing the weight.
To further reduce the weight we used a blend of Toray T700 and T800 specific layups.

40mm is a very classic and scientifically reasonable height with strong comprehensive performance. Can be competent for climbing and can also play well in aerodynamics.

TRIPS has launched unique wave shape Road Disc series rims. As the name suggests, such carbon road rims are with varying depth.The rim height is slightly up and down like wave on the sea. There are multiple depth options ( 45-50, 55-60mm). For example, measured from spoke hole area, the W60-28 rim is with 60mm depth and in between it drops to 55mm. This mid-depth profiles wave up and down 5mm for better aero performance and crosswind stability. It allow the riders to handle the bike better especially in the wind.

If you want to ride in the open air during cold winter, or to ride for fun on the beach, fat bikes (also called snow bikes, beach bikes) will be your good partner. 
TRIPS carbon fatbike rims are designed with double wall structure which is much stronger and stiffer than those single wall structure.
To meet diverse demand of riders, we provides fat bike carbon rims 65/80/100mm width option for 26er fat bikes and 85mm width for 27.5er fat bikes.We also have 80mm width for 24inch snow bikes.
Generally, 65mm width fat bike carbon rims are more suitable for riders who prefer a relatively lighter fatbike carbon wheelset and typically use 3.5’’-4.0’’ fat tires.
85-100mm width carbon fat bike rims are more suitable for riders who prefer to use big fat tires around 4.5-5.0’’ which is heavier but stabler in wet and slippery road condition.
